Sustain What Endures.

Your generosity sustains a life of prayer for this generation and the next.

As Brothers, we take three vows, including a vow of poverty. Through this vow, we understand that all is gift. That everything, including our very life, comes from God. Seeing life this way cultivates gratitude, and with gratitude comes freedom: the freedom to accept how little of life is truly within our control, and to allow God to move freely in and through us.

All is gift.

In this spirit of giving, we Brothers offer our ministry freely to all. Our hospitality, sermons, spiritual teaching, worship, and wisdom – everything we offer, in person and online – is given without condition. We rely in turn on the generosity of friends to sustain us. This is not a transaction; it is mutual reliance, and we believe that mutual reliance transforms everyone it touches. Self-sufficiency is a dangerous delusion. We are all interdependent. In acknowledging our need, we see more clearly how the tapestry of our life is woven into the greater tapestry of the Church and the world.

The Fiscal Facts

Donations to the Annual Fund support 51% of SSJE’s overall annual budget. The Brothers are advised by lay advisors and annual visits by the Bishop Visitor to ensure fiscal responsibility. You can be confident that your support is valued and managed responsibly. Learn more by viewing SSJE’s page on Candid.
